Elah Grandel - Bassoonist

ELAH GRANDEL, BASSOON, a native of Israel, is an active chamber and orchestral musician, both locally and internationally. Elah has appeared with the Boston Ballet, Boston Lyric Opera, Emmanuel Music, Isabella Gardner Chamber Orchestra, Arlington Street Chamber Players, the Boston Octet, and the Sequenza Ensemble, as well as the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and orchestras in Hingham, New Bedford, and Rhode Island. Elah served for two years in the Israeli Army’s program for distinguished musicians and later was principal bassoonist of the Israeli Sinfonietta Orchestra. In 2012 Elah was on the Apple Hill Center of Chamber Music faculty.

She holds degrees from the Rubin Academy, the Amsterdam Conservatory and Boston University. Her teachers include Richard Paley, Jos De Lang and Matthew Ruggiero.
